Hello there from Texas.

Experienced car guy but 1st time Lexus/Toyota owner.

Just picked up a 2003 LX470 as a trail/camping rig & all around reliable family hauler.

Bought her at a dealership who had just got her from an auction & didnt know much about her, so I'm excited to get started on her.

I already know I've got a bunch of dash lights to replace & the head/ nav unit is on its last leg so they will keep me busy for now.

Has this always been a southern truck, or did it come from up north? It looks like there are some rust bubbles on the upper hatch, which isn't uncommon. Check out the third brake light and seal it up as the usual source of water intrusion and maybe look into having a shop repair that before it gets much worse. My truck is totally rust free, but I do have a very small spot of rust forming on my upper hatch in a similar location likely due to a brake light leak.
