Hey everyone, new member here. Recently picked up a 2016 LC. My first LC, coming over from the truck world.. Looking forward to a few OEM+ mods over the ownership period. The car rides like a tank and seems to be all stock, outside of what I suspect to be a leveling kit..? Or is this factory?
Thanks everyone,
Paul

That isn’t factory. Stock studs are silver and pointed, and the upper perch isn’t so visible, even if it were the 10mm “factory +” spacer.

I’m betting you bottom the struts before hitting bump stops under compression, which isn’t good. I’d start taking some hub to fender measurements and comparing them to others posted in this section.

Congrats on the rig though!

Thanks, I appreciate the input. I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary but I haven’t stretched the suspension out to the max. If it wasn’t for me looking at it, I wouldn’t have known by the ride.

The nice thing about spacers is you generally still get close to factory ride quality.. which on these is pretty cushy.

I'd be surprised if these spacers were added but nothing was done to the rear. Usually the factory 10mm spacer is used to reduce rake, and your spacers must be much thicker than 10mm. So if you still have rake, I'd check on the top and bottom of the rear coils for spacers. Or even non-original coils. The originals should be black with two colored paint marks on each one, but different colors side to side.

Also a side profile pic of the truck can help us determine how much it is lifted.

Here’s a profile photo. Now that I have confirmation that it’s not factory, I will be removing it ASAP. Or I suppose the other option is to find a rear 1” lift? I’d feel most comfortable with either the factory set up or a complete, professionally installed lift.

Rear appears stock, front does not.

I wouldn't lift the rear to match, the front doesn't fit your "professionally installed" requirement. Those spacers can cause you to run out of up travel on the shock and that is a very bad thing to do.

Personally I'd just buy the Toyota 10mm/1" spacer, have that installed when they remove whatever spacer is in there. It's cheap, designed to work with the factory suspension, retains stock ride quality, and fixes some of the rake of stock stance. 2 of Toyota part number 43136-60020

Gotta say, that is my dream exterior color.
