I will make a separate build thread to get everything up to speed, but wanted to introduce myself before diving in!
My name is Weston and I'm in San Diego, CA. I have been working on Toyotas for about a decade and getting ready for for some unproved ground in the weeks and months ahead with some new exciting mods.
This 4Runner, together with my buddy Matt's Lexus GX470, make up Outworld Overland, an expedition vehicle and action sports project where we will document the truck builds as well as the activities it enables us to enjoy. While I'm still getting my feet wet with the rest of the developments, working on these trucks is second nature and as frequent as changing my underwear, so expect some good build information ahead.
All the details will be in the build thread, but below are some recent pictures. We are wrapping up the exterior and will soon be working on beefing up the engine bay components, then will move to the interior for a full redo.
I was on this site a long time ago and look forward to meeting some new faces as well as reconnect with the old ones. Happy to be back!
