Thanks all!
I have only limited computer time but am already finding some answers to important questions by searching old posts here.
I will probably have mainly questions rather than useful answers for a while.
No photos right now. (I may have some from the 70s though.)
It was a work vehicle and quickly got scratched and mudded up. I'll bet there is still some mud spots on the headliner from the early years.
She ran like a tank and that is just what I needed then. I remember dragging a disabled car sideways once (via rope)--on pavement no less--in low range reverse 4-wd.

welcome to LCLC, yes, we would like to see some pics.
It looks like it might be time for a HAMOM

Let me know about the HAMOM! I have a few projects. Would love an Aussie locker in the 80 when we return to Uwharrie in December…

Hey Guys, moving to Mount Pleasant in a couple days. Wanted to see if this club is active or if any are. Previously i was an ONSC member and keep in touch with some of those guys still, didn't make it to Logans run this year though, the FJC was in the shop. Just wanted to say hey and see who is active.

Welcome to the Low Country @TailsWCU ! I'm kinda new to this site, but these guys have been great. looking forwad to a local meeting, lunch drive in, HAMOM, and other events with these guys.

Thanks Eric! Looking forward to meeting up with everyone!

Welcome Matt, I'm in Mt. P ,also. we need to have a HAMOM at my place soon, it looks like. There are a lot of truck that need repairs or upgrades (including mine). I have a lift at home and lots of tools here, but time is not on my side in OCT. we can plan for the first part of November, that should give everybody a chance to get parts and schedule. Let me look at my camping schedule real quick and I'll see if I can set a date that works with everyone.

Looks like November 8th or the 22nd works for me, we can finish on Sun 9th / 23, also if needed

You have experience with the Aussie Locker, David. Think we can upgrade my 80 in a day or two?

shouldn't be a problem, Jeremy

BTW, my FJ40 will arrive in 2 weeks. I'm not sure what shape it is in, it may be in need of a HAMOM more than the 80...

I finally got my lift in, also.... now my :princess: wont always have to park outside - Ill just go into the office on the weekends when necessary. Im ready to start HAMOM-ing my own rig.

I'm sure I have some HAMOM stuff as well. Side note though what's is everyone's thoughts on Low Country 4x4?

HAMOM's! YES! We're overdue. Plus, I need to come over to your house and check out your 40! We've been talking about this for some time now...

Low Country 4x4. For my (now sold) F350, I had them check the PO's lift kit and I bought new rims and tires. They charged a reasonable price and the work was good. For kicks, I had them give me an estimate on installing a lift kit on my 80, but they came in too high.

Not to jump on the LexTech bandwagon, but Glenn came in with a lower price... I'm not suggesting Low Country 4x4 couldn't do what I was asking, but Glenn knows Toyotas very well and he did an awesome job.
