2. NLXTACY (Joey)-

The dates are bad for me right off the bat. I will be in Orlando for most of those dates. That being said I would still like to try and make it happen. I am interested in HG with Cometic and ARP bolts plus my S/C install.

NLXTACY- see dates updated above after talking w/ Robbie.

Would be interested.

Work to be done:
1.Regear **Still waiting for gears to come in from back order.
2.PHH & Cooling System looked over

I do not have a place to host.

Thanks

I will be out of the country those dates so I'm out. Thank you for the organizational effort. Hopefully it works out for everyone.

Interested, but I'm in SD and would need to know where in LA/OC work will happen.
Need transfer case seals replaced and PHH.
Can't really host as I'm in SD.

Updated w/ replies.

Thanks for the info - alaskacruiser - will be out of town, so will have to wait on another opportunity on Robbie...wanted him to get my new gears on, but will save up plus the HG next time around.

I'm out.

Maybe! Still trying to work things out... :princess: I will need to barrow her car while mine is down. Also, a lot is going to depend on location... Can't host!

Work to be done:

- RnP
- Rear main or arch
- Rear heater rubber hoses while trans is out.
- General once over & maybe a couple of other things I need to email Robbie for quote.

I would like to give a more definitive answer than maybe but, at least I have not said I am out yet.

No response from Robbie on just diagnostic info - I'm out.

Just got confirmation on my shooting schedule. I will gone for pretty much the whole time frame and then some. Sorry, I'm out.

Hello All,

Unfortunately, Robbie has been forced to cancel this trip due to a family emergency. He talked of potentially rescheduling the trip for around April '11. It seems like the original schedule for this trip posed a problem for a lot of people, so this might end up getting more people in. I don't know about you guys, but a lot of the work on my list was stuff I'd been putting off for years, so 5 months or so won't make a difference to me, especially considering we're talking about Robbie here. I will resurrect this thread when more information becomes available regarding rescheduling. In the meantime, anyone new who might be interested in a future visit, feel free to add yourselves to the list by posting up here and I will keep you up to date.

This will work better for me too! I have a lot going on in December and like you I have been putting of my stuff, a few months is not going to make a difference. In the mean time, maybe we can secure a host location and so on. What do you think? Anyway Vik thanks for taking the time and effort to put this together for the group in So Cal. However, I think one area where we lost people was Robbie's lack of response to emails from people in our group. If you have his ear, please mention that we lost people because of this. I realize that he is most likely inundated with email. But even a simple robo response is better than nothing... Just a thought.

fzjconvert and those who did not receive email replies from Robbie, I'd suggest you read this before getting upset at a lack of email response:

Robbie indicated to me that he was extremely busy working in the NorCal area and he didn't have time to look through the flood of 15+ emails I sent him, along with plenty of others he was getting. He also has plenty to keep track of back at home.

I suggested collecting all of the info from interested parties myself, compiling it as I have above, and sending him a compiled summary so he could more quickly assess and respond to everything at once and he agreed. This would be more practical than individual responses, as Robbie doesn't get a lot of time to keep up with email. I believe the infrequent emails I get are only because I volunteered to coordinate the SoCal group. I hope this clears things up for people.

Yeah no problem! I'm not upset... I understand how one can get busy. I just have some specific questions that are not of the general nature. So, getting the answer from the horses mouth is important to me. However being that we are a few months out having to wait is not a big deal. I was just saying that we lost people because the lack of response. That's why I suggested a possible robo response would be better than nothing. Something like

"Hey thank you so much for your interest in getting work done. At present I'm on the road working on trucks. It is hard to for me to keep up with email, please be patient. I will get back to you at me earliest convince. Thanks you in advance for the understanding!

Respectfully,

Robbie (powderpig)"

We here in So Cal want throw thousands of dollars at his expertise. I work hard for my money, a little customer service might be nice. That's all I am saying. The more people we have, will make it more realistic for me and all those interested

I'm still game to drive down to Socal to have Robbie work on my 80 if this happens in the future. I'd also probably be able to host him here in Vegas if he is driving back through this way and have him do some work here.

Hey Guys,

New here well not totally new but I do not post much. I have a location in Wilmington (Long Beach) area that I could open up to this possibility. I currently do not own a 80 series yet but as soon as the two 4-runners I have sell or trade for an 80 series I will be ready. That will be soon.

I plan on having the Fj by then and will want a real professional go through the vehicle. So win win.

Shop has everything needed. Lift, compressed air, solvent tank, and TWO dynos.

Let me know how this progresses.

Do any of you guys still want to get Robbie down there? I'm getting ready to start the cruiser build and would love to have him work on my front axle.
