Hello all .. 2 questions in one ..

What's up with interco and super swampers .. looks there are vanish in all shops ! know they are out of stock but no other idea when they are going to have 'em again ..

And the second question it's about Maxxis creepy crawler coz they have the right size to me 38.5" X 13 R15 but seems there are not too many options to found 'em online ..

There is any other mud tire option in the 38 - 39" range 13 - 13.5 wide and 15 wheel .. ?

thanks !

David

Maxxis has the Trepador tire, I have the radial ones now and love them, Next set will be their comp trepadors, I think Pitbull has em but they are made by the same company as Interco so probably not available yet.

Tapage...
There is a vendor here on mud that sell the pit bulls for a GREAT price. Im eyeing those in the 37 in variety.
The swampers seem to be plentiful here where I am at.
Did you check Summit Racing? Shipping might be a bitch, but...

bring tires from USA it's always a big PITA for the price and process .. but it can be done .. ( and must be )

How are the pitbulls on the street .. ?

I know the CC from Maxxis have a hard compund ( not sure if threpador have ) but that was good for on road manners and lifespan ..

What about pitbulls in this section . ?

Who's the vendor with good pitbull prices .. ?

Tapage,
Here's the link for the thread here where I PM'd.
It was the best deal that I had found on reputable 37's PERIOD. I know that is not the tire size youre looking for, but...Might check him out.
I couldnt pull the trigger as I still had a LOT of build left, so cash was the issue.
As far as wear on the street, I can not say how well they do. However, I hear great things about their off road performance.

Hope this helps you out somehow.
Did you ever check out Summit? With them being a large company, they might be better for shipping purposes down to you in panama. Their prices are usually pretty good as well.

I found good deals in US shipping .. but it's the USA - Panamá shipping plus taxes that make the hole idea not that nice .. that was I need a tire that worth the efford ..

I will check the options and thanks for the link ..

Fwiw, we have been extremely underwhelmed by the performance of the CC in the hard compound. The guys that ran them had to front burn and get them smoking to make any climbs, they just didn’t ever hook up, like, at all. The positives with the CC: they are very tough, the side lugs uber deep and they will last forever. For your Panamanian mud, I think you would be displeased. I doubt they will clear mud well, I think you would be much happier with a good old fashioned TSL.

sure .. and that's was my primary target .. just don't know not sure what happen with interco and when they are going to be ready again with TSL ..

I was just one step far from 38" X 12.5 R 15 ..

I've had 38.5sx's ordered for 2+ months. From what I've gathered, 2 of their 3 plants were shut down for labor issues or something. I've been waiting patiently hoping they get their s*** together. There is just not another brand tire that works like a Super Swamper for the wheeling that I do.

same down here .. and un lucky for us buy a set of tires are not just that easy to make mistakes ..

FYI about 2 months ago one of Interco's major suppliers "Denman Tire" filed bankruptcy hence the stop in production of a lot of Intercos tires as well as some of PitBulls tires in some sizes.

They are apparently in the process of moving the tire molds and plan to start production as soon as possible but no one seems to know how long that will be.

I love my SXs by the way.

That make all clear .. thanks dude .. but can we asume that when they come back on bussiness will do with the same price range . . ( I hope )

Probably they will move the production overseas to keep costs low ..

CC's are heavy as crap too......have you thought about cut MT Claw's? would be horrible on the road but i think they would work pretty good in the mud

I had a set of baja claw in my 60 time ago .. ( was 33" ) and they are good enough forward .. but never try 'em in reverse .. and non on the road to .. the vibration and wear are important.

Actually thought TSL are better on road than claws ..

at the end and with my chains I'm more looking for the right size 38.5" X 13.5 R 15 than the tire by itself ..

Tapage,
I run Creepys, our club gets a deal from the local Maxxis vendor. Irun them on the street and in varied terrain. I can´t speak to them as a dedicated rock crawling tire , not any of that here. However they are great in rivers, mud and sand, all of the same terrain that you have there. One way to avoid shipping or duties is to order a set from here, drive up on a throw away set and drive back on the Creepys. :grinpimp:

IROKS... They are worth the coin and the wait!

yap I know .. I also know after a few road trips you must change for a new set too ..
