Working on an 86 FJ60. The manifolds are brand new from toyota and this hole came blank. What is supposed to go here? the other 2 manifolds I have have simple plugs in them. Any help greatly appreciated.

It gets a plug, brass one I think with the fancy green gritty OEM sealant on it.:hillbilly:

if you want i can give you the part number. I have one in the basement somewhere.

I bought a new manifold and got the plug as well as having the one that came off my 87 and another one that were both plugged.
Oh, and it's steel not brass as I though. I was thinking off the ones in the thermostat housing.

part # is 90344-53011

I know this is an old thread but have the same question. The plug that I got with new manifold doesn't have any sealant on it, should I put loctite/threadlocker on it or just screw it all the way in? I'm afraid lingering vacuum leak...

Also Butt or anyone have a write up on how to plumb in a vacuum gauge here, sounds like a good idea to me? Fittings gauge selection etc.
Thanks
WO

I would put a thread sealant on it. I've had good success with a liquid teflon sealant. You should check the temperature rating for what ever product you use. The intake manifold will get reasaonably hot.

I used that hole for my NOS injector.

I need it for getting on the 405 freeway...

Ok thanks 2mbb will give it a try
Talked to Mechanic at Toyota Dealership who said to use high temp rtv but I am concerned with time+heat of manifold = leak

Hey Spike NOS!
You gotta write-up for that mod? :D

This stuff is tits -- LINKY

But it's a little hard to find. Otherwise, use the orange high-temp RTV, also permatex.

Sorry - NOS on a 2F is a top-secret, skunk-works project. Details can never leave Burbank on penalty of :skull:

Find my thread about how I passed CA smog ...

Found it, thanks. My HC's were just over max @ 15mph and 25mph.
Smog Tech said I had too much unburnt fuel thus HC's

He said to replace plugs cables cap and rotor.
PO replaced all those a little over a year ago (not OEM) but gonna check them out and replace probably (all OEM)

Was trying to cross reference with these two post to find lingering issues.
