For all the hype.......it's really not that bad ! Provided your truck is from dry country. If the bars were lighter, it would be even easier.

I put anti-seize on the ends of the TB's and on the adjustment bolt. YMMV.

You doing the shocks too? If so, be sure to get the 22mm flex-head GearWrench for the rear shocks. Had mine out in minutes.

I'm doing shocks too. I found a way of getting to the front shock bolts rather easily from under the hood. The rear shocks i will be doing on sunday as well as the other side t-bar. The rear shock top bolt is what i'm concerned with... The access part. I'd prefer not to drill a hole through the sheet metal, but if i need to.... we'll see. hopefully the connection for the ahc won't be difficult to get to either.

Funny thing about the wife... She hates it when i spend time working on the truck, but she doesn't mind going wheeling. I keep reminding her that one cannot happen without the other.

Chicks are weird dude...I don't go asking my wife why she has to buy 10 things and then take 7 back the next day and she doesn't ask me why I would willfully climb under my truck for 4 hours...for fun!!!

Glad you got the one side finished. They other side will take you 1/6th of the time. Good luck with the rest of the mods!

I'm in the process now. I was able to get the torque arm off and onto the thinner part of the t-bar. How the heck do i get the anchor arm and the t-bar separated? I can't exactly use a back action.... hmmm....... Help...

Which is the exact reason above i said use a hammer to tap the anchor arm off. :bang:

:p

Also, i would just use grease. It helps to prevent corrosion and aides in allowing the bar to to slide in easier.

today, i replaced the driver's side t-bar. with taking all my tools out of the garage, removing the t-bar and cleaning up and lubing the torque arm, and anchor arm, and installing the t-bar, it took me a little less than an hour. If there's anyone reading this and thinking twice about using PB blaster to use something else, all i have to say is USE IT. If everyone here says use it, use it. I was amazed. PB blaster claims to wick down threads of screws and whatnot. It was able to wick down the splines of my t-bars, and into the anchor arm. Some amazing stuff right there. Tomorrow is diff drop and rear suspension. Fun fun fun!
