dtt255...Lookin good!

I'm hoping I get my wrench this week, and I can adjust my front too. Did it take alot to get one inch lift? Or was it one inch of adjustment, gave you one inch of lift?

Now all you need is a rear bumper, and you are good to go. Are you interested in hounding Slee to build us a couple?

Here is a comparison of before and after:

The shop I went to for my alignment (a 4x4 shop) did the increase for me. They just charged me about $60. In 110 degree weather...it was well worth the $60!

So I was not there when they did it, but I hear it is not hard.

Did they have to go through the routine of disengaging (opening the bleeder valves) KDSS, or was it as easy as just adjusting the front? Please help.

This whole KDSS thing is kinda getting me tricked out. It is going to be some time until I am comfortable. At least for all of it's mechanical pain, it is awesome off road.

Nope, none of that junk.

He just jacked the truck up, removed the wheels and measured from the CENTER of the axel upwards and made sure the front matched the back!

Easy as pie.

So he didn't reset the KDSS. All he did was crank up the coil overs to compensate for the sideways slant.. I dunno about that..........

What are you talking about? The person who did the alignment and raised the coilovers up did nothing to the KDSS system. It was fixed way before I brought it for alignment and the raising.

If you read my the whole thread you will see how it was fixed.

I was a bit confused. I thought you were showing how to fix it but didn't fix it. Don't mind it then. I read it when I was sleepy.

NP!

Too bad everything is built to score a 5-star crash rating. That front bumper is waaaayyyyyy out there. I'm sure ARB did the best they could with what they had to work with, but damn that's a long front. Maybe some larger tires will balance it out. What size are you running currently and do you plan on going any larger?

That is my (and others...see Snook's ARB slice and dice job on his hundy bumper) biggest gripe with the available front bumpers to date: Too much overhang. Hopefully Christo will follow through on his initial front hundy bumper to make it with minimal overhang.

Its the same with ARB & TJM 80 & 100 series front bumpers. The overhang is a problem for some of us off-roaders stateside. A friend of mine explained they don't do or have the same type of terrain as we do in Aussie land. So the overhang isn't apparently an issue over there...

There I go again...hijacking a thread!

Hei.
I see you have Nitto Terra Grapplers AT on you LC200. What saize is the tyre. I live in Norway and was recomended Cooper Discovere AT 275/60/20. Are you happy with the Grapplers?
Regards Anders.

if you adjust the ride height you HAVE TO adjust the KDSS with the belleder valves before/after.

What happens if you don't?
I adjusted the front slightly, and haven't had any issues. I have been riding on it for about 2-3 weeks now without anything?

I was under the impression that you only needed to open the bleeder valves if you were disconnecting the sway bar? (essentially for any suspension work or changes, but a simple adjustment of coilovers didn't need the valves open).

Please explain your comment, as the capitols and bold is very alarming!!!

yes can you share more light to the comment that you have to adjust something to the KDSS when lifting the thing. Have read about the opening of the bleeder valves when installing new springs/shocks but it never mentioned that we need to adjust it after installation.

We are waiting for the arrival of the complete OME suspension system for the LC200 for our customers ride this coming november. 50mm front and 20mm rear lift.

DTT: Another stupid question here. What did this upgrade offer you? Did it increase the height? smoothness?

May I also ask total cost, if you don't mind?

I added them because after adding the ARB front end, it dropped the front about 1 -1 1/2 inches. So I needed to raise the front to make it level again.

The truck runs just as smooth and looks much better then it did!
