Well, keep it in mind if you happen to 'cane your DS. :D

Already have! But when I do it again, I'll scream in impotent rage!!

I like it, couple questions-
-does the arm hit the front mount at full compression? it looks really close.
-the dogleg in the arm, will it cause any geometry changed compared to stock?

as long as the ends are constant, it doesn't matter if the middle is a squiggly bar or straight- that's my thinking anyway. But then I think of a machette, where the dogleg makes the end "faster" than the handle, thus more power.

what is the truth w/ regards to the dogleg?
thanks, Tim Lund is a great guy. Hope the best for him.

I don't know. I have asked Tim and await his answer.

EDIT: Got his response:

The front mounts have an OEM cutout in them to allow the link up travel. With the set on Dave's 80, they moved up into the cutout just perfect.

The dogleg will not cause any geometry change in itself, the suspension links only see a straight line between point A and point B (link ends). However since we changed the angle of the straight line between the points, there will be a change in geometry.

In other words, the suspension will mimic stock handling only if all the links are in the same position as stock. By increasing the angle of the lower link, we will have some changes in suspension geometry, hard to say how much of an actual change you will see in handling without running it on the suspension calculator or just simple seat time out driving it as normal. Tell him thanks for the question. Soooo Dave, what do you think? does it handle different than before?

Very minimal driving on the freeway (about 60 miles so far) and it SEEMS the same. I'll know more on the drive from Seattle to Rubicon, and on the trail itself of course. One more thing to report on--love it. Will do!

Did you get the longer arms to compensate for the lift or did you stay with OEM length?
I'm thinking if you get the arms and press in your old OEM bushings, that would save some $...

FirstToy,

The arms are built to work with a 4" lift, so the length is not quite stock. Wild West will be building a stock-length cranked arm for stock lifted trucks.

I'm sure Wild West will ship arms without bushings but i suspect most people will just get new bushings. It's takes a pretty good press to get them in and out!

Trail report will be next on these.
