Hi has anyone got a install manual or spreadsheet on the wiring to connect the viper to the 80 series ? Thanks for any help

Bumping in case anyone can assist...I'd hate to have done 90%+ of the work but end up taking it somewhere and paying them to finish her up!I've spent literally HOURS on this forum, reading & documenting every thread - Viper, CompuStar, RS3000 harness conversion, etc...plus the12Volt threads, DEI/Directed/Voxx, and all sorts of Google. Then studying the EWD thoroughly. Even with all of this effort, I cannot find a definitive source that clearly lays out the Viper 5906V's intended terminations to my '97 LC's wiring locations/colors/pin#s.
There are a couple of wonderfully helpful threads on here, don't get me wrong, and they really get people started (and are very much appreciated, that takes a lot of time to document). But there are gray areas, and mismatches, and information gaps (or assumptions of DIY capabilities & Toyota/Lexus standardization fails between our rigs). Had the threads gone slightly further with connection distinctions, and full line-by-line translations from alarm wire description/function to the rig's exact location/color/pin#, I think I would've been good to go.
Without the exact answers, and given that RS3000s were installed after the fact, plus minor changes between model years + LX vs LC, it's going to force me to run some tests prior to making my harness. I don't want to guess or put up with trial & error and rework (my time is limited between business and kids - and a lot of projects
If anyone's found a Viper 5906V to '96/'97 LC point-to-point/pinout w/ colors & pin numbers, I'd be eternally grateful! Otherwise it'll be me and my meter cycling every function and mapping my own in/out schematic. Ugh.
How'd you get a definitive wiring diagram? Did you have the factory security system? It's amazing how some of the information says BL-W, BL-Y, etc. but then others say G-W, G-Y...I had the door locks working, alarm chirping, etc. as normal, but couldn't get the remote start working. I used crimped sockets/plugs at each connection (anticipating I'd have it wrong based on the mixed EWDs).I installed a 5706v in my 96. Same brain, wiring and 2-way capability. I believe the only difference are the remotes. LED vs color OLED.
Man, that would be awesome! Tip, every YouTube and online post I found skips over the critical details I'm missing, or breezes past them with a general statement like "connected that to my ignition on the car side" without any specifications on locations or wire colors. Fingers crossed, I'll have all six of my kids, my wife, and everyone I know "smash that Like Button and subscribe"!I don't want to make any promises, but I may be doing this install in the near future and posting a video on my YouTube channel about it. I can't give a hard date on it, but it is pretty high on my priority list. I'll throw the video link here when it's filmed and edited.
Do you have the install guide for the Viper that you can post up?I stumbled across the install guide for the alarm - PM me and we can work though this.
My plan is to butcher an RS3000 harness to create a plug and play to the Viper harness - I think I've most of what I need.
I just used his converter to install a Viper 4806V for keyless entry and remote start. It only took like 15 minute and is working like a champ! I've wanted to ditch the RS 3000 for years but was reluctant to hack up my factory wiring to install an aftermarket alarm. I'm glad I waited because now I've got a nice half mile range on my key fob and all without cutting any factory wires.View attachment 3659758
Correct. His converter only integrates aftermarket alarm commands into the factory RS3000 wiring (horn/piezo buzzer/door lock/unlock, etc.). Adding the remote start features will be a little more involved and so far I'm holding off on that part until I have more time/energy to tinker with it. I've pre-wired it as much as I can though as the Viper came with a Remote Start-specific harness. I've run those wires towards the steering column so when I'm ready, I think I just have to connect the ignition/starter power and the other wires like the brake pedal and e-brake will also need to be spliced in.'lutz Adapter specifically states it won't support remote start, was the extra wiring pretty straight forward? Or did you not connect remote start?
I wish I would've known about this! I already spliced into many of my RS-3000 wires along the harness, but I've subsequently uninstalled my Viper until I get time & answers for the remote start. I'm ordering the Lutz converter - that'll at least clean up the stuff I already painstakingly figured out on my own! It's 2024. You guys should be using the Lutz Auto RS-3000 alarm converter that Bryan made.
