can anyone help me with search terms for lx450 alarm deletes? i had one printed out to get to eventually and now i can't find it.
also i've had a couple times where i have left the truck sit for seven to ten days and rhe battery was dead so i am trying to find my multimeter to check for parasitic drain at the battery and go from there.
is parasitic drain a symptom of a bad alarm? or is it "just" a random "locked out ignition kill no start". and how do these fail? the electronics go bad and start to leak?

picture of me testing the upper rear hatch brake light last night and turns out the bulb is working so as soon as i find rhe MM i'm testing the harness for power at this location i'm told the left and right brake light harnesses are the likely culprits.

It's not challenging. Remove the drivers seat and start tracing wires back to various plugs.
The only cavat is the horn wire, I cut it and put a cap on it, don't leave it dangeling, its hot and if it grounds out on the dashboard supports it will sound the alarm...ask me how I know.

I've removed over a dozen. You pull the kick panel and remove 100% of the alarm, plug all plugs back in and your vehicle works great.

thanks and @Rusty Marlin
so there is language in the thread above that says you have to reconnect two Black/White wires at the two circled connectors they posted.
also do you happen to know if the alarm system can result in parasitic drain? i'm almost thinking to remove it if/when i have a no start i can't solve?

"This picture shows a completely removed factory alarm system. Take a look at the two connectors that are circled in red. They each have a black wire with a white stripe going to them. These connectors interrupt the starter solenoid. Find the two connectors on the body that these were connected to, and connect them together, completing the circuit. Those two connectors should be in the driver's kick panel. That should solve your issue."

I don't know about parisitic draw. My final straw was when the alarm system locked me out of the truck with the key in the ignition for the second time. Luckily the truck came with a second key. Stock Toyotas won't let you lock the door with the key in the ignition.
