Other than one of these being a slightly different shade than the other (presumably due to storage/aging), can anyone see any discernable difference between these blue vinyl inspection lamp bags? @jblatz ? @KT40 ? @Bear ? @bmoonhajjar ? Others? Yea or nay?

There's a reason why I ask, which I'll disclose after a few votes come in.

My vote is nay, but would like to hear from others because I'm not the most observant type.

Thanks for the replies. Here's why I ask.

I just received a black corded inspection lamp along with its blue vinyl pouch. It's the one to the left in the photos above, and underneath the black corded lamp below. There is no reason to believe the pouch isn't original to the lamp. That pouch is identical to the one which accompanied the "later of the earlier" brown corded lamp (the pouch without the bottom rounded corners as Antony alluded to). I always thought the blue pouch changed to the type with the small dimples when Toyota switched to the black corded lamp. Evidently there was some carry over pouch stock to deplete. This may have been already known - first I'm seeing of it though so thought I'd share. Nothing earth-shattering I suppose, but it's fun to learn something new.

Remember all the pex? pipe plastic fittings that failed - turns out some guy let out the antioxidant component. Manufacture blamed the installers, installers said the followed the directions, home owners left with damaged houses - layers get rich.

Is the market for trouble light pouches worth doing counterfeit simulations? I mean I doubt people are printing dollar bills at home - heck even the gubernment has figured out it cost like nickel to mint a penny and the answer isn't to mint more pennies.

I won’t second guess what rabbit holes people are willing to go down any more. Not since I got stuck with 30 round factory coolant bottles because someone decided they were worth reproducing.

Wow I guess you should never say never. I now remember reading some interesting things you experienced when having stuff manufactured and marketing in other places.

Everyone should go and read your reflections at your site - interesting, informative, and entertaining to boot.
