Injection Pump Drive Gear

So i put my engine back together after throwing a ton of new parts at it but as. i was reading through the repair manual i found that this knock pin goes in this area but i never put it back and dont even remember it being there, runs beautifully but should i be worried?

Probably, unfortunately. It prevents the pulley from moving on the shaft.

Sigh, guess I’ll tear it down for Christmas
