4K wow.......................................

guess my Safari is just gaining value like a quality blue chip stock.

Definitely not worth 4g's IMO. I'd much rather build a far more efficient turbo kit myself for half that (pulled that fraction out of my a$$).

I believe that they are shipping to toyota next week and that your dealer will be able to order after that. I don't think they are gonna fly out the door too horribly fast. But if you really want one i would not wait months for it.

By all means, do so.

So Wakesetter, do you know if the dealers are aware of the release of the parts?

Seems odd that they'd make more of them but not have formal channels to disseminate the info huh?

I'll call my Toyota pal in the next few days to see if he can find anything out for me....

Thanks for the info!

Jason

Toyota does not usually release accessory information until product is availabe at the depot level.

When it hits there will be a PANT (Parts and Accessory News Today) bulletin emailed to the dealer body. It's up to the dealer parts managers to open them and read them. You would be surprised how many go unopened.

I guess they didn't reintroduce them for you. I'd really love to see someone put together a complete turbo kit for $2,000. I can't remember what Christo wanted for his turbo kit, but IIRC, it was in excess of $4,000.

If you lived at 8,000 ft. and regularly pulled a camper or at least had your vehicle weighed down in excess 6,500 lbs., you might see things differently. Of course, that's why I already have one!:flipoff2:

Twice that by the time it's installed.

Thanks for the info CrusierDan...and no I would not be surprised how many emails or important bits of info people just cruise over...hell how many eBay ads have I written with great descriptions that people don't read cuz they're in a rush?

Emails too...they answer your first question and none of the others!

I'm excited though...this will make my hunt for the new 80 series rig a lot easier! Would rather get a nice locked truck and put the S/C on myself. And as we're all seeing the market for 80's to a degree has slowed with fuel costs! Thank god it's never going to be my D.D.!

Hey...does anyone know what the part number will be? That will make my parts guy's life just a little easier!

Does anybody knows if this supercharger is going to be available in a kit ?, like the former Kazuma ?

Yes, it will be in kit form.

so what's the big picture as far as S/C vs Turbo in terms of power increase, costs, and fuel economy?

Lots of threads on this Eric. Lets keep this one on track.

It would be appropriate if someone knew the tech differences between this version and the previous one to post up

thanks for answering the dealer question Cdan. That is nothing I know about. Yes they are full kits with a seventh injector. Should be sweet.

will the 7th injector make it run as it should...... on a 94?

Not enough information available at this point to answer your question.

It would depend ENTIRELY on how the 7th injector is fired. If the OEM EFI computer is used my bet is it will not work properly on a 93-94.

The fuel management is handled in a completely different manner in the 93-94 versus the 95-97.

Believe me..............IF there is a way to fit the, as-yet-to-be-confirmed, 7th injector to a 93-94 I will figure out a way to make it work.
