It was built for post war Frenchmen short on cash, but it conquered the far lands of the French colonies in Indochina , Algeria and New Caledonia. They say the soft suspension is superb off road.
The Vietnamese even rebirthed them with a new body and called them "La Dalat"
So it looks like the butt plug is the actual transmission shifter complete with the manumatic (not SMG) feature, the Fisher Price Q ball looking thing is for the transfer case, it has a hand operated parking brake instead of the more robust footpedal actuator.
It also appears to have the hate sink that is the iDrive.
I like the center buttons, compass, manual hi/lo lever, air vents, center control wheel thing (for the screen), but yea, the steering wheel looks like a smart car (ironic, they are actually building the smart cars as we speak) and the BMW knob is a little tacky. I like the simplicity of a lot of it though, and you have to remember: each recycled part=lower total price at the end without really sacrificing quality. I’m all for it. I would rather it have BMW bits and be affordable than it to be 100% original parts and be u obtainable. BMW is still a quality company
What the heck? Who makes the fancy switch stuff some of you guys are installing these days? switch pros? can get like 8 illuminated buttons in a 2"x5" or so plate. There is a metric poop ton of wasted space in that center console wall of knobs/buttons. I know there are cleaner/smaller off-the-shelf parts than that.

That panel is removable and able to be rewired and such. You can remove it with a screwdriver. I am confident you could install new buttons if you so please. This truck is meant to be modular and easy to modify for the enthusiast

I get that, it just seems like they went to the heavy industry parts bin instead of maybe grabbing some BMW or smaller style switches/buttons out of the warehouse.
Well it certainly is more visually stimulating in the interior than the LC70, and already has all those switches and such, claims a lower price, although there are some pretty notable downsides I know, like the fact it broke down twice at goodwood festival of speed, and that it is a startup from a company that has never made cars. So far, it is just a concept, and concepts are almost always cool
That'd be a big no-no here. My wife would have all kinds of buttons pushed and things turned on. It'd take me a week to figure it out and besides It's ugly as **** IMHO.
Military, Nintendo, Philips and air vents that appear to have been designed after a home heater from the 1950's. :nothanks:
I'm ok with the switches. I’m way more a form follows function guy. The switches appear to be thought out and logically organized. As opposed to, say, my wife’s Lexus. Start it, throw it in reverse to back out, backup camera pops on, and the ECS is immediately blowing max at some temp you don’t want. No problem, just turn down the fan speed until it can be addressed. Oh wait, it’s 3 flat screen button pushes to get to which then totally negates the fact there was ever a backup camera installed…every single time. I’ve swore many times, I will never own another Toyota that doesn’t have an ECS fan SWITCH.
But, what do I know? I like the old Series 1 XKE switches…
And the Ineos underwear things for bike riding. It really is going to be following the peloton. Looks like its pre padded. The French have their fingerprints all over this.
