Man, those things get crazier and crazier!

The one man skiff versions would be an absolute hoot!
I learnt to sail as a kid in the 80s, and often got to sail my dad's mate's Moth (10' open deck skiff). Sailing it as a fly weight 12yr old was a blast! The foiled skiffs of today make it look like a tug boat

I’m vacationing in France and saw an Ineos dealership as I was leaving Avignon. I blurted out “why can’t we rent one of those instead?”

I have yet to spot a 200 though, or any Land Cruiser for that matter.

Also strange is our rental BMW sedan is a diesel. This is the first diesel car I’ve driven. I can’t shut off the stupid auto start/stop feature and that is maddening. Otherwise, I kind of like it.

I finally stepped away from Toyota and got an Ineos Grenadier....wanted the Quartermaster but chicken tax and now additional tariffs making unrealistic....maybe later if they bring that B57 motor in I will get one slightly used for my alternative to a 70 series I have wanted forever. LOL

So far so good...very heavy duty vehicle...primarily for offroad with some on road manners...rather than offroad being an afterthought or atleast secondary like on other offerings.

All the complaints and stuff on YouTube about unreliable lockers is BS....they just did not take time to learn the proper sequence and get familiar with operations. Too use to just hitting buttons off and on. Also they compare it and put Grenadier in full open and have it compete against Defender, Prado, etc...with traction control. They rarely do a fair comparitive with center diff locked and rear locker at minimum to be more fair with traction control....

That being said this thing is a beast and no complaints. Once I learned how to properly lock up and unlock all three lockers....use offroad and wading and hill descent modes.....it has been flawless. HOpe to take it to Uwharrie camping this fall and do some light trails...not thinking will do Dickie Bell and Daniel like I did with my FJ60, FJC, and UZJ100...hahaha

The other complaint was steering. YEs the steering damper is stiff....offroad you dont even notice...only on highway and actually got used to it after a couple days. I did end up replacing damper with a purpose built OEM replacement from FOX shocks...night and day and still absorbs steering inputs from sharp jolts. If ever driven old solid front axle 40, 55, 60.....old farm tractor...or an old school bus from 70s....or farm truck then stiff steering requiring two handed steering is normal...this was much better than those...just I think people expected luxary across board and did not believe that all the resources were put into offroad capability...not plush creature comforts.

This is awesome to hear. I just put my 100 Series on the market and am getting ready to list my 70 Series to get a Grenadier. Growing up with Land Cruisers and Defenders, this is the most logical solution to something more modern for the family while being able to do what I enjoy. My nearest dealer is in Charleston, so we may have to grab a beer when I make the jump.

There's talk of a shorter single cab pickup but they seem uninterested in a 40 length version. Not enough sales of SWB Jeeps as it is so I can see their thinking. Besides, a removable top requires a roll cage. The Grenadier roof structure is load bearing so you'd lose that plus all the extra cargo room they've built in to the design if adding an internal cage.
