I stumbled upon this Aussie-made device dash mount while Googling phone mounts. Appears to be well-made and the company claims no holes to drill or panel trimming. I haven’t reached out, but I’m sure they would ship to the US.

The website states 300-series, but it’s 2016+, so I think it’s a typo.

Thoughts?

It shows LH drive as an option.

If you already have a RAM or similar tablet mount, it would probably be very simple to drill a couple of holes in the bracket versus using their mounts. Which look nice, but are on the pricier side.

It blocks the LHD "HOME" & "NAV" buttons but otherwise it looks good & stu

From the looks of it, the swivel mount appears to have four slots that are AMPS pattern; so all of your RAM, Garmin, etc. mounts (that are AMPS-compliant) would bolt right up. No need to drill anything.

More info on AMPS:

This is the best I could find for mounting a phone using an amps mount and roadvise.

Even better - assuming it is indeed AMPS which seems logical.

That is very nice. Do you have a parts list and additional pics? That would make a great thread on its own.

I have a ram ball mount on the grab handle bolt, but I'd like to get the ipad mini I use for trip/offroad nav into the center stack area in an unobtrusive way.

Being unobtrusive is exactly what I was going for. Once I found this spot to except a 9” ram track, I put my thinking cap on. I took a pice of 18 gage sheet stell from Home Depot and went at it with a angle grinder. After quite a few eye ball measurements, I came up with a bracket that tucked up nicely. It bolts the the down angled section below the CD player that you can’t see anyway and has 2 arms that screw to the silver sections of each side. She feels super stout!

I used the same ram track, but it's bolted to the top of the dash. I just used some bolts and lock nuts and drilled a couple holes in the speaker grill. Placement is nice as I don't have to look down to see my phone. @chazzmatazz setup could be nice with an ipad or tablet though

You've probably already documented what you use. Got a link? Thanks! Looking to put my InReach there.

Glad to share. I'll start a new thread and tag you.

Oh that’s awesome! Do you have any pictures of that? I had a similar set up in my older 4runner but because of the screen on the 200 I wanted something different. The iPad mounts should be coming in today. I’ll post pictures of what the tablet looks like mounted up, I’m hoping it will sit nicely below the factory screen and not obstruct the climate controls.

Not handy but I can take some later. It's the same as this thread. I used 6-32 low profile head bolts:

The RAM x-mount puts my phone just above the driver's side vent. I used a multi-swivel extension to get it where I wanted it. When the phone is in the cradle the edge rests on the dash which further limits the (minimal) vibration.

This is next on my project list. Thanks for posting.
