Yikes! In 2005 a local Toy shop (NOT RHT) rang up a $400
bill for replacing the contacts on the starter. Grrrrrrrrr
Heck all they had to do was remove 3 screws and slap
in $5 of parts. You don't even need to remove the starter for crying out loud.
I suspected it was just the contacts again but since it was only 2 years ago
that this was done I decided to replace the whole kit and kabootle.
I got an insider deal from an old friend on the starter. $135.
I don't think I'm talented enough for doing the rebuild and I did notice
some wear on the drive gear.
I'm hoping this fix will last a little longer than before.
Man, $30 .....that sounds sweet.
Live and learn.
