I've got a 92 4x4 pickup and the ifs is slopy and worn out. I'm not wanting to do an sas at this time and need to straiten out the stock setup. Whats the best rout to go with this? What are the parts that normaly wear out and how much of a pain is this front end to deal with?

That recall has limitations i.e. mileage and ownership. Call Toyota for more details. I tried that route on my 92 and was denied.

Idler arm, especially if it's been wheeled.

Ball Joints

Tie Rod Ends

Check your wheel bearings as well.

If you want to go used there should be plenty of stuff on the boards.

Call your dealer and have them run your VIN for the steering relay rod recall, that should get you some new parts for free.

I recently received this notice from Toyota for my '90. Any idea what kind of stuff they could replace, other than the relay rod?

Thanks for the heads up on the recall. I just got back from the dealer. They said they would replace the relay rod ,do an alignment and check everything out. I'll be droping it off in the next day or two and will give an update once i get it back.
