I always wondered why the troopies had such a long departure angle. Now I know why.

Lovin' the headlight trim.

When was the first long wheel base Troopy made? This appears to be a early seventies or sixties Cruiser they started with. Doors pre 75 model. Bib pre 70 model. Hood pre 72 model. windshield pre 75 model. Emblem in the grill pre 74. Apron looks like it had the early metal emblems. 68/69 US models got a reflector behind the emblem. 71 to 74 when the new turn signals started there was clearance light in front the emblem. I see no hole for either. But this could have been put together in South America which probably changes those date.

Jeep made a CJ6 many years ago while wasn't as long as this Cruiser the rear axle was further back like this. Curious is this a disadvantage if your not rock crawling? While the cab in my 45 pickup is cramped compared to my 40s the ride more than makes up for it with the longer wheel base.:meh:

Many of the Central and South American trucks are quite often a hodgepodge of available parts and the dreams of a local "designer/stylist."
