Idler Shaft question

Does anyone know the size of the idler shaft on a 1990 Fj62? I think i found a rear t-case cover for my Fj62 but i want to make sure what i found fits. One is from a 1987 Fj60.

Mace or any of you other guys know if a 1987 t-case cover will fit a 1990?

Both should be 38mm.

10/85 for non us and I believe 4/86 in US and later cases are 38mm including all FJ62's.

I saw you were shopping for a rear case, but some discussion has been made (with a solid machinist friend) that the idler bore is matched on both front and rear case 1/2's. This is unconfirmed, but if true you will want to replace both sides at same time.

new cases are about $650 discount from Toyota for a ref point.

From what I remember the idler shaft switch was in 85 when the 4 speed got the spacer and the lower gearset was stuffed in the Tcase.
