Wow, what a great selection of pictures and ideas. So many good ideas......Thanks

Tools - I agree, both your bumper and mine are smacked up front from the rocks. Is Symon working on something for you? like you say: something closer in would help approach alot.

This is the stubby thing I bitched together.

Very nice bumper looks strong and light. How do you like your Duratracs?

Im pretty sure Symon is out. He closed up shop here in the west valley. I contacted him a few months ago about notching some tube and adding in more support for my sliders(he built them) and he told me he doesnt have the time or the facility to do it. He is now working full-time somewhere else. I love my sliders he built though.

That was simply...shaving off the top ARB bar...and fabbing 2" mandrel bent bars on top. I have always thought the ARB has a "snowplow" look and is very dated.

Thinks he was refering to byoungquist's bumper above.

But have to say I like what you did with your ARB :D

thanks for all the input

Thanks for all the input everyone! Heres what I decided on that fit my needs: A thicker metal for strength, a closer in design (4" vs the ARB 7.5"), a wrap down and under design to protect the reciever dryer, etc, and a clean up front that allows full air flow for the S/C (lights blocking flow before), and stong pull points.

Results should be a much better approach angle and cleaner look. From the drivers seat, I notice now that my hood looks shorter without the big ARB hoops.

Heres the final results:

Looking Sharp Murf! :grinpimp:

Glad you got rid of the ugly hoops; no bulls/kangaroos out your way to warrant them.

Assume your latest is certified strong 'nuff for any illegals you happen to run over :flipoff2:
