Wow....as the original owner I gotta say she has turned out well. As of yesterday, she just rolled into her teenager years at 100,000 miles. I'm sure this is probably one of the lowest mileage 95' s in the country...and I owe that to having a company car to drive....I now average about 4,000 miles a year on it.
As a veteran Landcruiser owner, I was offered a free install and 1/2 off of the the first TRD supercharger available in Texas This thing has been so reliable. So keep your LC's well maintained, waxed...and garage kept if possible.
My only regret is the MPG's of 12 mpg hurts...but I fill up once a month so it's not that big of a deal.
I just thought I would share this 100,000 mile update..stay the course folks...and keep them maintained. I'll sell her soon and upgrade...but when I drive it, the grin comes back ;-))

Beautiful rig, enjoy it and never sell it.

What bumper is that?

That is my custom ARB/prerunner bumper I designed. ( I have always thought the ARB's bar design had a "snowplow" look and was rather dated. I simply cut off the bars, redesigned them and used the ARB base

nice, just got a '95 with 105k. many years of enjoyment, and some pain, to look forward to!

Thanks for sharing, that's one clean, good looking 80.

So did you make a custom top mounted intercooler for the S/C and use that hood scoop as the intake?

The top intake IS functional for the supercharger...but it is not for an intercooler. I put 2 four inch holes for venting purposes only..I must say it was scary drilling the holes...but it works very well.

Nice 80!
What's the story with the fancy center console lid / arm rest??

I'll say it's scary especially with a truck as clean as yours and with you being the original owner. I cut a decent size hole out of my hood to put in a lumina vent.

It definitely seems to help keep things cooler under the hood. I do get a little moisture inside the engine compartment but it is limited to over the air cleaner housing.

Do you notice any increased moisture under the hood from your vent?

I was considering installing a subaru scoop, but I was concerned about more water (and salt in my area) directly over the engine.

If you have some pictures of the underside of your hood handy, I'd love to see where you drilled.

Story on the interior trim? I see Lexus door trim panels and window switch trim. Did you replace the panels entirely or just got the bezels and trim strips?

I'll sell her soon and upgrade...

Oh dude...WHY?:confused::confused::confused::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

That wouldn't be too smart, IMO. Besides, how do you upgrade from a built up 80? Short of maybe a diesel G-wagon - even then I don't know if I'd call it an upgrade.

I can certainly shoot pics of the cutouts some under the hood. I'll post them tomorrow...and yes the scoop is from a Mustang 5.0. I do see condensation in the shape of 4" circles ;-)...but it does a great job of venting and allowing cool air in.

On that, I simply bought the Lexus trim, cut off the "nipples" behind the trim pieces and used 3M tape to attach it to the door panels.

Well...my son will need a better MPG vehicle when he goes to school.....my 80 will not do well ;-)). So, I don't know yet what I will do...myabe a trade for an 07 FJ for him....

I noticed something else in your pictures that you normally don't see on an 80 Series Land Cruiser, damn near a full tank of gas, gage must be broken.;)

Well I designed those and sold them about 10 years ago. I used to own Landcruisers.com. Anyway, as we all know...an armreat was needed, so I filled the niche' ;-)

Do you have any desire to be crafty with some console/armrests for fellow mudders? I know I wouldnt mind forking over some hard earned cash for the right solution. :grinpimp:
