So I have a 2013 LC coming my way next week. Selling my 2013 GMC Sierra and I can't wait to get my hands on this cruiser! After a lot of deliberation, I decided on one with a grey exterior with black interior. The cruiser is very clean. This will be my daily driver for the next 10-15 years, I hope. I don't plan on doing just a ton of off road, but I will do some. I know the first thing I'll want to change are the tires. I'm a big fan of the bfg all terrains so I will probably get those immediately. The stock wheels will suit me just fine. I also ordered the front strut spacers from @beno to help on potential rub issues and level out the cruiser. After the tires and the spacers, I really want to get to know the cruiser and how it handles all sorts of driving conditions before I decide on what's next. I've heard the stock shocks and springs can be a little too squishy so I am researching performance replacements for those. I'd love to have a bit more sporty ride than the stock feel without it being too firm. If that's possible...
I don't think I want to put a lift on it. But I've read that better shocks and springs will raise it an inch or so, which is perfect. I also like the look of the metaltech sliders- my wife will insist on keeping running boards of some kind. I'm going to look into buying a second set of stock wheels and powder coating them grey. I'll get the Windows tinted dark, for sure.
This forum is awesome and in just a week of really doing research I have learned a lot. I'd love to hear options/opinions/ advice on what I should consider. I am not too handy so I will take the cruiser to a shop for all of these mods. The 4 wheel parts store where I live looks like it's the best option for my needs.
Thanks- Andy
