So I have a 2013 LC coming my way next week. Selling my 2013 GMC Sierra and I can't wait to get my hands on this cruiser! After a lot of deliberation, I decided on one with a grey exterior with black interior. The cruiser is very clean. This will be my daily driver for the next 10-15 years, I hope. I don't plan on doing just a ton of off road, but I will do some. I know the first thing I'll want to change are the tires. I'm a big fan of the bfg all terrains so I will probably get those immediately. The stock wheels will suit me just fine. I also ordered the front strut spacers from @beno to help on potential rub issues and level out the cruiser. After the tires and the spacers, I really want to get to know the cruiser and how it handles all sorts of driving conditions before I decide on what's next. I've heard the stock shocks and springs can be a little too squishy so I am researching performance replacements for those. I'd love to have a bit more sporty ride than the stock feel without it being too firm. If that's possible...

I don't think I want to put a lift on it. But I've read that better shocks and springs will raise it an inch or so, which is perfect. I also like the look of the metaltech sliders- my wife will insist on keeping running boards of some kind. I'm going to look into buying a second set of stock wheels and powder coating them grey. I'll get the Windows tinted dark, for sure.

This forum is awesome and in just a week of really doing research I have learned a lot. I'd love to hear options/opinions/ advice on what I should consider. I am not too handy so I will take the cruiser to a shop for all of these mods. The 4 wheel parts store where I live looks like it's the best option for my needs.

Thanks- Andy

Based off of what you are saying you want in suspensions, I'd get with @arich and get to know more about the Koni 90 Raids he has/had.

Sliders are a good idea with the long wheelbase. Also get some heavy duty skid plates, because if your concerned that you will actually use sliders for bouncing off of rocks, then you should get good under carriage protection as well. The stock skid plates are ok, but if you come down on a sharp enough rock, it will rip through and cause damage. If you are going to keep the stock bumpers then I would install a front receiver and plumb wiring so you can slide in a winch front or rear onto either a front or rear receiver and still put the winch in the garage when your just doing normal commutes. I would hold off on tires and suspension until you have driven the truck for a little while and get a feel for how you want to improve those aspects.
