I need a cruiser

As some of you may already know, I sold my fj62 to JP so he could continue to build his cruiser stash. A week before that I sold my DD s-10 blazer, so now I need a new cruiser. I already have the green light from the wife to buy an 80 series so that is what i am trying to get. I have some time to try and find one as i am driving my in-laws sweet 1990 olds (haha). I would prefer a 95-97 with under 180k miles. Sunroof and Diff locks are a plus, but if one does not have it i would still consider it if it is a good deal. I would appreciate any leads you all have as there does not seem to be much in the Augusta area right now. My wife and i are still trying to set a max amount we would like to spend on an 80series, but i know my budget will be more than 5k and less than 10k. I appreciate any info you all can give me. Thanks.

LexTech down here just picked up a black FJ80......he is building one of his own so not sure he will keep this but he has a pic on our forum. GreenSeaMan just picked up an 80 here in Charleston as well.... Will keep an I out.

THere is a clean Lexus LX450 but looks fairly new so betting they want about 10k or more for that one....

I know where there is one for 4k, it is a 95 or 96 with 305's on it, it is a nice truck. My neighbor is selling it, call if interested (615) 969-0010

don't forget to search for lx's....mine was cheaper than any 80 I could find at the time.

yup i picked my new car up last friday... Thanks 99UZJay for the lead.... it needs some work but looks and drives good.... its got a set of 305 Nitto TG and 178k on it... I attached a picture that Jay took for me before i went a saw it.

Sorry, Ive been sick twice since getting it home... ive ordered some parts for her... a couple she needed and some just for fun... I got a new driver side door handle (it was broke) and intake hose (also broke). The most exciting part is i bought a lift for her. I got the springs, shocks, and steering stabilizer. Now im just waiting on a few more parts so i can install the lift. Hopefully i can get it on next week. I will post up some before and after pics when i get it done.

Let me guess the door handle wouldn't unlock the door. From the inside and out.

haha... yeah jp is definitely a bad influence in that department.

i bought a replacement door handle bc the part you pull on the outside was separated from the part that actually controls the latch. you can open it from the outside but it is a pain. i got some lock and unlock issues too, but i have not tried to tackle that yet. the driver side locks from outside but does not unlock. pass side unlocks but does lock from outside the car. if i put them together i have one complete lock. haha. if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them. like i said i have not really tried to figure that one out yet. i figure when i actually replace the door handle i will start to try and work on that.

Sounds like you have a couple broken wires. Download the FSM and figure out what wire goes to what. Pretty sure the key lock is tied to the unlock buttons on each door.
Trace your wire and get a continuity tester. Also search in the 80 section. I'm sure you are no the first person with this problem.
