The more I look at it, the easier this becomes. My truck is Canadian and the easiest fix is to convert to a gas version radiator. A bit more difficult is to track down an early diesel rad from Rob, Wayne, or Cory and keep it as it is. I'm glad my problems are so simple. I'll share the conclusion as soon as I get the parts in.

If memory is serving, and without looking at my BJ42 (not at home right now) the bottom rad connection which ties into the waterpump is the same for either. It is only the top connection on the rad to the t-stat that changed sides. The power steering pump resides on the right side, where the top coolant tube runs in the manual box version 1981-82 BJ42.
Remember, this is all for the Cdn spec BJ42's.
