The spacer it a Toyota piece, 90560-35082 is the spacer number, and it is an 'F' code part, and has been discontinued...A piece of tubing, 3/4" wide that slips over the output shaft would do the trick too...



So ya have that goin' for ya...

#32 is a spacer for t-case output shaft....completely unrelated to the t-case input gear or idler cluster....installs next to the toothed gear for the speedo drive....

That IS the spacer that I have in stock, and used on all 420 and 465 plate style conversions, since 1993.

fawk , fawk , fawkin spacer , what who and where the hell. Not in my 420 adapter instructions , please advise as to the thickness of this , I found 1 that is about 1/8 inch and was in the box from the tranny rebuild and I am suspicious that this is it ???????

For a stock transmission application, that woud be the piece...pretty sure that it is too thick for this application.....420 or 465 plate adapters..



The piece that I use is just something that I found that fit, and worked, and just so happens to be the speedo drive gear spacer on the Toyota transfer case..

wow....6 years with a plate adapter installed...never ran a single spacer...never knew it was required, nor saw it in any instructions online, ever...

guess I'm one of the lucky ones?!?

My adapter has a bearing where that spacer sits...

So I suppose that I jus tneed that thin washer between the bearing and the input gear?

Also, when installing the seal in the t-case, does the spring in the seal face the transmission or the t-case? Does it matter?

I installed mine with the spring facing the t-case.....

Yep, spring should face the t-case to keep oil in the t-case and away from the tranny.

damn, I feel like an idiot not knowing about that spacer.....

Hey Steve....can you elaborate on the safety wire pic? The angle doesn't show what the wire does above and below the bolt in the pic. My guess is that there is some kind of tab welded to the washer but it is hard to tell.

I thought that Tim had taken more pictures of that retainer that I hacked together one night...I will lean on him to get them on his site. I drilled a hole in that tapered cone washer, and Tigged a little grade 8 allen cap screw 10-24, same lenght that is used on the Warn lock out dial, and it catches on the splines. I then Tigged a piece of 3/16 square key stock to the washer, and drilled a hole in it.


In that picture, the saftey wire wraps behind that little tab on the bottom, that is why you cannot see it.
