One month in with my first LC (2016 in black) and loving it. However I have found an issue with the navigation screen on the MID. Headed into the mountains this weekend, the main nav unit showed the correct distance of 47 miles to the next turn, but the MID showed 4.7.

I deleted the chat posts. It's okay to banter amongst friends, but when a new member joins, we should show him that we can also be helpful :D

Anyone with ideas to help out this issue?

Thanks for looking out for me Romer - but I knew I'd be in for it with that post mixed in amongst the serious upgrade threads. No harm done at all!

I've got an appointment with the dealer to check it out. Will report back soon.

Though not pointed out, your issue may be related to the recent TSB that's listed in another thread. It too has to do with display errors.

Thanks. I did read that one and thought the same, but my VIN number is higher than the range of that TSB.

Love Greenville BTW. My wife's from there.

I will test my 16 tonight and will let you know if I have the same problem. My vin # is higher as well then TSB for the other clock impact.

I've lived here my entire life and can't imagine being anywhere else. At the same time, I'm in North Carolina just north of Greenville enjoying myself every weekend.

Thanks. I ordered the Techstream cable after seeing your thread. It's on its way from China now.

Curious if it actually tells you to turn ten miles early...?...or does it just ignore the decimal point error?

Just submitted online to customer service of toyota including the picture. If you have the same problem, probably worth submitting as well so they open TSB quicker.

Im glad you guys figured out its a common issue. Always good to know you're not alone

Submitted this issue by phone and online to Toyota, and on the phone was told I needed to take it into the dealer to be checked out. So I did, and after some back and forth got them to admit that it actually is a defect in the way MID NAV information is being displayed. Initially was told "it's supposed to work that way."

One more issue found with Nav screen as well. It puts a space in the distance.

What is the next step the dealer will do?

Found an additional issues today. On Nav screen the distance shows an additional space. See the picture.

Seems like a general QC issue with the navigation displays. hopefully these can be fixed with either software or firmware as opposed to hardware replacement. It seems like a small thing on the surface, but quick readability on these screens is important for both accurate navigation and safe driving.

I have not noticed it actually giving incorrect audible instructions. I think the errors are display related only.

Will schedule an appointment as well and bring screen shots as I am sure they will not be able to replicate the problem ;)

The key seems to be entering an address at some distance away, and then actually being on a road on that route with enough miles BEFORE the next turn that the system shows multiple digits so the decimal is obvious. The dealer tech set a destination 40 miles away, but because the next turn was only 5 miles away, they weren't able to see the issue.

The screen shots definitely help. It took a while just to get them to understand that the issue is the discrepancy between the two screens.
