Two years ago I sat down with my son and went through about $400 worth of dimes and segregated out one modest mercury and about 15 barbers. When all said and done, the barbers were still sold at scrap and the dime pulled $5.

It tool two of us about 5 hours.

Most of the less than super collectible silver coins are just being melted these days.

I'm curious to see how appreciative the owner is :hhmm:

I've got a ziploc full of Liberty Dimes (1940's) and a stash of pre 64 dimes and quarters. I have a slightly dented 1904 penny and some of the 1943 (IIRC) steel penny.

Steel penny :meh:

Copper pennys pre 1982 are going for .0167

Silver could be a good time to cash in:hhmm:

Remind me on the 17th to drag out my stash and get your two cents.

I just looked up all the Liberty dimes I have. In their condition, they are worth 3.35 each. The other silver dimes I have are worth 2.36 each.

They are only worth 3.35 each if you have a buyer. Melt down value (2.36) is available at any pawn shop:hillbilly:

I am willing to offer .25 for the entertainment value to see the expression on his face when he hears the news :hillbilly:
