I have a buddy who came into town today from AZ. He wants to wheel. So, I'm going to Corral Canyon again for the morning w/ this dude: http://adventure4x4.net/waiting/showthread.php?t=1481

If anyone wants to tag along:
Carl's Jr. @ I8 & Tavern Rd.
7:00am

I want to be home for lunch.

I may be able to do that..

I dont have sliders or lift yet, so I don't want to do anything too crazy.

I'll send you a PM with my contact info.

It's kinda rough, but I think an 80 can handle it ;). There may be some crafty maneuvering required in some spots. If you had a stock FJC, I'd suggest NOT taking it out there.

If we have time, I'll take you down to the campground and show you where the "hardcore" trail is. I really want to try it someday.

Let the flaming begin. :)

Would that be Bronco Peak? I've heard a few horrific descriptions of that one.

Ha. No, that really rough section is part of 'Bronco Peak Connector'. That's is the section behind the Campground. We'll save that for another day.

Sidewinder and Bronco Peak are definitely open. We just ran them.

I saw your rig in the "Check In" thread. I think you'll be okay.

BTW: FJC = FJ Cruiser. You're driving the mighty 80 not a stock FJC.

Well guess what . . . ?

Nice pixs, bummer about the bend.

But yeah I agree upgrade if you're going to play in the rocks. The heavy duty DOM Slee or Marlin draglink + tierod are a good investment. One of the 1st upgrades (Marlin) I did after tweaking mine on seperate runs up in Big Bear couple years back. Been solid on lots of stuff including moab, rubicon, etc ever since.

Holy crap! What did you guys turn the nice serene trail I remember into?
I probably would have gone but unfortunately my uncle passed away last Saturday and I was at his funeral today:frown:

Think of it like this: you now have more "fish" stories to tell. Not to mention you get to buy more parts and install them.

Leave it to a rookie jeeper to get stuck on the only rock in the area:flipoff2:

You had to be there. HEHE. Anyways, Cheme02 and Landcrusher70, not sure if your members of TTORA, but if you guys could chime in, the guy that was there kind of made it a big deal that we were not there, but i did tell him that if he was there at 7:40, he would have wheeled with us, and maybe my clock was fast, but when we got on the I8, the clock said 7:56AM. I wish I would have saw the guy. Here is the thread.
