Here is our LandCruiser HZJ78 from the year 2000.
We call our car GeoCruiser, like our website.
On the odometer we read 312.000 km.
We bought the car as a van in april 2009 and Innovation Campers
in Germany build a Pop Top roof on the car.
We made it a camper ourselves. The camper part is complete with:

  • heating;
  • 50 liter watertank with Shurflo waterpump, tap, sink;
  • Doulton Ultracarb waterfilter kit;
  • gas stove;
  • kitchen battery 120 Amp;
  • 2 solar panels each 55 Wp;
  • Votronic solar computer;
  • Waeco gas detector;
  • LED-lighting;
  • Engel fridge/freezer 40 liter;
  • build-in Porta Potti toilet;
  • awning.
We can sleep under the roof on matrasses 2.20x1.25 m or with closed
roof on the table and cupboards 1.95x1.40 m.
W’ve got two seats in the back.
The truck has:

  • after market turbo;
  • heavy duty oilpan for extra oil cooling;
  • two skid plates.
The truck needs a body lift of 2” and a bull bar with a winch.

The pictures are made on our trip in Morocco, sept. 2011.

On our website you find hundreds of pictures
(Menu => Reisverslag) of our travels. The pictures tell their own story.

Very nice...I didn't see the link to your website for more photos...please try to repost. I love the fact you have the Kokopelli Flute Player on your back windows...that dude is indigenous to my neck of the woods!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the compliments.

You can find the link to our website in the subscript (signature) below the pictures. As a rookie in this forum, I'm not allowed yet to make a weblink in my signature. You had to copy the webaddress in to your browser and then you find our website.
And now here it is: ... GeoCruiser.nl
I like to think that Kokopelli is a didgeridoo player, like I am. ;)

That is very nice...Great Rig!

I cannot read dutch, but I am intrigued to ask what GeoCruisers do? I am a High School Senior graduating in may, at the university I will be studying geology and I wouldn't mind seeing into the work of a geologist. HEY! if it means me riding around on expeditions in my Land Cruiser, then life is good :D

x2 on that...Lol!

@Adventure Copan
In the words “Land Cruiser” I replaced the word “Land” into “Geo” meaning “The Earth”. The meaning of Land is to restricted for us. We like to think bigger, because our GeoCruiser will also travel in a container overseas to other continents, so not only overland.
After we’ve been to the America’s we´ll ship our “GeoCruiser” to Australia and after that to Asia and than we drive it back home.:steer:
So you guys guessed it right. Life can be good.

And Geography is a hobby of me; all I learned of Geography at school, I want to see it with my own eyes.;)

Hey RobGT! That's really cool...I just meet another gentleman a couple of weeks ago who is planning to do that very thing when he retires and he's building his rig now so he's ready. You have a great looking rig, thank you for sharing!

Hi Daniel,

There are lots of adventurers, also from Europe, travelling through the America's.
Maybe we will see each other at the Mayan ruins at Copán Ruinas in Honduras. ;) Thanks to guide me indirect to this important place to be.

That would be very cool. If your ever heading that way send us a message and we would love to say hi and do what we can to help. :D

Hey if your ever in Alabama and want to witness a little southern hospitality and home cooking get in touch with me ;) Alabama is a hotspot for caves and all sorts of natural wonders, so if you ever in my neck of the woods look me up. I'd love to see your rig and help out as well!

Hi FJ62sasquatch,

Alabama is on our itinerary, so we like it a lot to meet you and show us our GeoCruiser. We understand that a HZJ78 is never sold in the USA by Toyota.
And yes it’s beautiful to meet an American who is proud of his home State and want to show us to places to see in Alabama. ;)
Success on your exams. :)
