HZJ77 Springs

Any 77 owners out there? How many leaves in your springs? Thanks.

Im thinking that the rear springs will be the same as a 73/74 and 60 series.
Couldnt say for sure how many in a pack but I think it was 5 in the front(unless you got coils on the front) and 6 in the rear

It sounds like they have been replaced ,I think the OEM springs have some marks on them maybe someon can help.

How about some pics of your 77,they are kind of rare around here

They always have one less on the front dont they?

1990 to 1996

6 leaf or 10 leaf. Rear.

I have never seen a 77 with the 10 leaf pack.


1996 to 1999

6 leaf rear only on the 77.

On the front the available packs were 4, 5 or 6 leaf packs depending ont he application. I beleive that the 77 had the 5 or the 6 leaf spring set.

I JUST LOOKED FOR YOU ON MY PZJ 77 AND IT HAS 6 REAR .....AND 5 FRONT ....Hope that helps.............................

I'll have a closer look tomorrow, but thanks for the input guys.

Nice to know I have new springs to go with my new tires and batteries.

The leaves look a bit thinner than usual which may explain why there are so many.
