Just curious on the PZ77 i see a few on the auction block I know a little on the PZ motor 5 cylinder ...has anyone turboed one of these...any downfalls on the PZ.
I know the BBs need to be changed out on them any other feed back.
Do they have enough balls to take a load up the snow shed.

I sold mine for $17K Canadian several years ago. That is about market price IMO; it didn't go fast - perhaps it was priced too low! LOL.
Some people definitely feel better spending more, and think they are somehow protected when buying from a dealer. It was a genuine low miles truck (136K IIRC). Grade 4/B in the auction (before they started "up-grading" everything)
Fun, and very Kool, but too heavy for the rubber that was on the road, and not as safe in slippery conditions as say a Surf or an 80 series at the same speeds.
I still smile when I remember the look on the face of the road crew guy as we went by. He must have been a cruiser head as he looked like he'd just seen the second coming of Christ! Even bikers were known to give a thumbs up. LOL
They are built for 3rd world conditions and that means mostly slow driving, which they excell at.
The acceleration freaks will not be happy with the non-turbo 1HZ.

Hey John how does the auto box drive is it sluggish like the FJ62 I know the turbo helps just wondering non turbo does it crawl up to speed, how hard is it to track down a 5 spd of the HZ in the future what tranny do these use.

I'll have it out for another test drive tomorrow and let you know. It really gets up and goes... but some numbers would be nice too.
The non-turbo 1HZ is quite nice with the auto as well. I have one in an HZJ73 that I quite like.
The 1HZ 5 speeds are certainly not common here in Canada. I am not too sure about Japan, though.
I'll try to post some pictures as well.
