Hybrid DVD for Override and Latest Gen4 Maps (1 Viewer)

Hey community!

For those with a 1998-2002 LX470 with navigation that doesn't work because of disc read error or no disc detected error, if you haven't upgraded to analog AC and a double-din stereo or a Tesla-style 10" screen, you can upgrade your DVD computer with a used Gen 4 unit (part # 86841-50090) and a U30 v15.1 North America maps DVD. I bought mine on eBay for $130 and $10 respectively. Hope this helps!

There supposedly is one step further, but I can't find any posts which explain how to do it.

Unfortunately the override in gen 4 was taken away with the later map updates. I believe the only way to use the override is to make a hybrid DVD with the newer maps and older loading files.

Does anyone know of a guide to burn such a hybrid DVD?

I have the U03 v8.1 (it was inside my truck's gen 2 when I bought it), the U08 v13.1 (latest gen 2/3), and the U30 v15.1 (latest gen 4) DVD.
