I know this is short notice but..

Jon (Bellydoc) Wanted me to post up about a BBQ at Hunter off-road in Tempe on the 11th He said it's usually heavily attended by Jeep guys. Wanted to see if we could even the look out some . I going over to Jons Sat morning to haul his Rolling smoker to the event. Jon makes some mean smoked meat. It would be cool if I didn't have to fend off the Jeep sneers, by myself:D

Here is the short scoop.

When: Saturday, Dec. 11th 3:00 PM - till we close it down. (Usually about 7-8)
Where: Hunter Offroad
625 S Smith
Tempe, Arizona, 85281

Here's the gist. Everyone brings a little bit of food, and there is plenty for everyone. One huge pot luck. Bring a pack of burgers, a pack of hot dogs or soda. Bring a side dish, bean dip or ketchup, etc.

Got a BBQ grill? Bring it and be a hero. Bring some cash for raffle tickets, T-shirts and some vendors may be there as well. Bring some chairs to sit in, an a table to on if ya got it. Oh, dont forget the camera.

sorry, not going to be in town for this :frown:

John Hunter is a great guy who has been supporting the offroad community for a LONG time! He does great fab work.

I'll be doing my best to swing by for a bit.

Anyone else in? It's a long drive, but I might make it if it's a club function. :D

Hmmmmm............ Maybe some of you might be interested in a double header? :D

Oh and he's a Deputy Sheriff too

Talked to the guy a while at one of the cleanups. His 4-seat buggy / intervention rig (with the AR-15 mounts... ) is really nice.

Sweet!

Thanks Don!

Just for emphasis... here's the instrument:

and this is the music:

So the Jeepers can see a built 40. ;)

I bet those 2 items right there make for one hell of a day of wheeling.

I'm actually surprised I beat Don to this thread because he got some great photos.

Here's Don trailering the pit for me:

It was a pretty big batch:

So did Don:

There were easily over 100 people in attendance (no clue what the real number was but the largest group I previously cooked for was 84 and this crowd was larger). They demolished 24 racks of ribs and the same in smoked sausage. ;)
