Were not manufactured in 1997, Were made up to 1996 and some were sold in 1997.

4Runner and Crew Cab had Live front Axle to 1988.
Extra Cab had Live front Axlt to 1993.

All the I.F.S. is Torsion Bars. - Australia only gets the better I.F.S. in the Prado. :'(

4Runner has'nt been availible since 1993 in Australia.

That Internet site is wrong, As the Hilux is mostly made in Thailand and is also Assembled in Thailand. Not Japan.

Same.

All the Japanese Light Trucks are assembled in Thailand except for the Nissan Navara is assembled in Japan.

....the solid axle Hilux was still produced here in South Africa until 1997, they only changed to the newer shape with IFS in 1998 here.

These '97 models are highly sought after here as they were very high spec'ed in their last year. They came in the 2.4 Petrol (gas ), 2.4 & 2.8 Diesel.
