Updated. Got fender and bumper, and installed this last weekend. Still looking for other parts, but have several offers from out of state folks on the smaller stuff. Have sacrificed knuckle skin to the the new rig, all is well.

I'll post in the "welcome aboard" thread as well, but was recommended to ask from the general 60/62 forum. I'm down in Tucson, and in process of putting back to stock a 84 FJ60 that has had a bit of rough handling.

Looking for a front windshield (this one has a dandy crack right across the drivers field of vision) a front bumper -got that, driver side headlight assembly (the light is ok, the plastic is all gone) and the passenger side front fender (bashed pretty well - cosmetic rather than functional) got that and the driver side window gears are pretty much gone. Oh, and not that it's important right now, but the A/C compressor screams if turned on - figure the bearings or clutch is gone.

Anyone have some good suggestions of where to find parts in Tucson, or the Phoenix metro area? The rig is in decent shape other than that, so far as I can tell. Starts, runs, and doesn't seem to have any fluids pouring out in vast ugly quantities. Haven't checked the 4x4, PO probably didn't use it, so thats the big unanswered question at this point.

Anyway, if anyone can put me in the right direction of where I can the bits I need to replace, I'd appreciate it.

Cheers!

Hello and Welcome!:flipoff2:
I don't know much about Tucson but cruiser parts are hard to come by in Phoenix. I own a FJ80 and I have great difficulty locating used parts locally. Southern Cal and Colorado seems to be good places to locate parts. I have gotten some parts from the northeast US but they were rust buckets. i would not reccomend getting parts from there. Also keep checking the formus and if you are lucky you can sometimes jump on a new parting out thread and get what you need.

Nice of you to move here from Italy :D

There's a guy out in Marana named Tim Hill. I hear he's got lots of parts. I don't know how to contact him, but others here do.

Welcome to the board! I'm in Tucson also.

Last time I was there he did have a 60 series fender..can't remember what side though:meh:. He doesn't have a lot of 60 parts, more a specialist in 40's.

Will contact tomorrow

Thanks for the lead on the fender. Thats the single most obvious one thats not even fixable by my standards. I've considered bending the bumper back into true, and simple replacing the little plastic end cap. I'll post up pictures at some point.

Um, not me. Originally from Ireland, but that was *long* ago. But thanks for the sentiment.

You have a pm...

Welcome aboard!

As far as the glass, try Clear Glass 790-7416. He replaced the glass in my 40 at a fair price.

Parts is parts, and its all good.

Talked to Tim yesterday, and I'll be heading up there on Saturday. He had 2 of my major needs, and may have some of the addtional bits and pieces. Great call-out and thanks for the tip. Should be able to go for a drive this weekend!

Will follow up with Kavik in Phoenix Saturday afternoon if Tim doesn't have all the stuff I need - sounds like he's got quite the collection.
