Hey guys,

I need some ideas on how to improve the look of the old girl. I was thinking as a start to get the wheels powder coated black. But any other ideas would be great.

All cruiser look tough, but body damage is always an improvement.

Black wheels and window tint.

But I agree it does look good as is.

X2 on the black wheels and tint, but gotta be limo tint around the back

rims and a roofrack. honestly you dont have to make them look tough it just shows through with good driving and some recovery skills. for instance my friends pretty much all have big trucks that look mean like flatbeds and hauling trucks. the minute they get stuck they call little old me who is half the size in a 60 that looks almost identical to yours, except white and not a high roof, to come pull them out. i blacked out my chrome and grill too though

I know she is more than capable off road, but I also want her to look good on the road. I was thinking of blackening the front end crome and the top of the bonnet.

Black rims and bigger tires otherwise it's nice already

oil slick dispenser, caltrop dropper, and anti-zombie paraphernalia. Barbed wire... really now that I think about it, watch any of the Mad Max films, that'll get you all set-up

:)
Edit: I forgot to add "remove the snap-on tools logo, because reliability isn't tough. Replace it with a Harbor Freight sticker. Because when you're a bad-boy you don't want to associate with 'dependable!'"

one ton axles, coil overs, 40" tires and a 6bt cummins. Then it will be classified as bad ass.

Just no longer a cruiser....:flipoff2:

I think the high roof has to go. Just remove and ship to me and I'll take care of the disposal....

dents, scratches, and mismatched panels. black wheels work well as well

I dig your ride !!!!!

It looks like it's set up for a overland / exploring. Awsome. What I think would make it look meaner is a lift with some bigger tires. The choices for us in the 60 series is a 2-1/2, a 4" with shackle reverse or the the granddaddy of a spring over. A spring over will net you about 5-6 inches of lift. It will fit 35 inch tires. But, this all base on what you NEED and what you can afford.

Each lift come with it's own price. The 2-1/2 is about $1200 bucks. The shackle reverse is about $1800 bucks and the spring over can run as high as $5000 depending on how much fabication is needed.

This weekend I will black out the grill and surrounds. I will put a quick coat of black on to the rims as well. she already stands on 33's, which I think are big enough for me.

I agree with body damage. Nothing looks tougher than a wrinkly muddy 60 cruising down the road.

machine guns behind the headlights and a rocket launcher on the roof. Maybe you can pick up some mangey dogs from an alley somewhere and keep them in the back :D
