A California Emission Standards Rig will have a Black label under the hood on the passenger side.
A Federal Emission Standards Rig will have a White label under the hood on the passenger side.
Well mine is painted over so does that mean I'm f**ked when I go and get this smogged?
LOL! Are you in California?
Most shops do not know the difference between Ca and Fed stuff.
You'll have to worry about it every two years in CA, depending on the county. Did you determine what year it is?
Are there any emmission components on it at all?
May be able to identify it if we could see some pics of the engine compartment ie distributor, carb #s etc.
OK you have a California regulation build from 8/76-9/77
The reason I say this is;
If you had a 1977 Federal version your surge canister would have two little white canistors mounted directly to it and they would have pig tail wires coming out of them.
A California Version is a single units and is seperate from the surge canister.
