Discount tire has or had the Cooper STT for $310 a tire, thats how much they charged me for my STT Pro's too!

tires, wheels items in Discount Tire Direct store on eBay!

Look for tires that are $400 or more each. Purchase 1 tire at a time and apply the $100 off $400 to each tire.

I just bought 4 315/75/16 Cooper STT Pro's with this deal. I called the local Discount Tire and got them to price match with their ebay store. Normally $1473 for tires, balance, stems, mounting, tax, and certificates. I paid $1195.
Hey, I just missed this deal. Do you know how often they do the $100 off $400 deals?

It says it still has a day left on the Ebay countdown, but the fine print said Expires March 16.

Any ideas?

How did you get them to charge that price for the STT Pros? I'm showing $327 a tire for 37" STT Pros.

I emailed Discount Tire Direct to see if they will still honor their $100 off $400 deal, but nothing yet.

Anyone else see any other good deals on 37" STT Pros, MT/Rs, or KM2s?

I'm leaning heavily toward the STT Pros, but am kicking myself for missing the Ebay deal...

I've been trying to find a good deal on quality 37" MTs for 17" Sequoia/Tundra wheels for my 80 Series. I was aiming to spend around $300 a tire, but am struggling to find a really good deal.

I've done a lot of research to narrow my options. Overall I'm looking for a solid all around MT for both on and offroad with decent longevity (on-road, rock, and mud performance are priority over sand or snow/ice).

I'd also like to get as close to a true 37" as possible (Ex. GY MT/R is closest to a true 37", BFG KM2 is more like a 36")

Here is what I have been able to find online with no tax and mostly free shipping:

- Goodyear MT/Rs: $410 + $75 off 4 (rebate)
- BFG MT KM2: $400 each + $50 off 4
- Maxxis Trepador: $390 + $100 off 4
- Mickey Thompson MTZ: $410 + $100 off 4 (rebate)
- Toyo Open Country MT: $370
- Nitti Mud Grapler: $410 (not my favorite design)

Has anyone seen any better offers at various times of the year that I should be looking for that could get me closer to $300 per tire? Like a 25% off, Buy 3 get 1, or other solid offer?

I'm not considering the Irok (not great on-road), Cooper STT (tread chunks in rocks), SSR (longevity), or a few others for various reasons.

The simplest method is to search the internet for the cheapest price you can get, print it off and take it to discount tire. They will match the price even if they have to order the tire for you. I try to find a site that will also offer road hazard and I get discount to match the road hazard price as well. They mount, balance, rotate and air up your tires anytime they need it for free. If you cut a sidewall, they replace it for a prorated price based on the wear on your current tires. It is a great deal!

They offer the $100 off $400 twice a year, first two weeks of March and the last two weeks of October. I missed October but searched google to find out when they did it again.

Tire Rack has the MT/R for $335 a tire right now but only 2 are available with more expected this Friday.

Thanks. I just ordered the STT Pros but could only take advantage of a $50 off promo instead of $100 off $400. Wish k had times it better, but maybe next time.

Good to know about March and Oct.

Anybody know anything about the Cooper MTPs discount sells? Wondering about the chunking concerns. I've also had balance issues with older design Coopers in the past. Thanks!

If you don't mind driving a little, try pricing different 37's at M&M Service center in Belk, AL. He's about an hour and a half away from Birmingham, but by far the cheapest tires I've priced.

I had seen that on the STTs but the STT Pros have fixed all the problems with the prior tires. I read probably 25 reviews and all were outstanding for the STT Pro. I didn't even have them on my list until I started researching.

By far the best looking and best performing MT (on and offroad) for the price.

The MTP is a strange one. It is in between the Cooper STT PRO and the ST MAXX. It is exclusive to Discount Tire (that could be both good and bad) and sells for a little less than the STT PRO in a 315/75/16 size. There are not a lot of details on it and isn't based on a previous design like the STT/STT PRO. I like the look of the sidewall on the ST MAXX and STT PRO but don't care for the MTP.

OK, has anyone found a better deal than this? This is $304 per tire.
