How to fix door handle

Hi all! what is the best way to fix door handle?

What’s the other side look like? Don’t have any arm rests handy to compare to your pic to see exactly what the problem is. Is it just vinyl missing from the mounting surfaces? Can’t tell where the screws go through.

The problem is that there is a metal frame inside handle and foam which is inside peels off from the metal
I guess its a common problem with all parts of interior of FJ55 which are with foam inside

Wonder if you could peel it back like you’re doing in the pic, then pump that cavity full of super-glue then clamp them together somehow in the position it’s supposed to be in and let it set up.
Beyond that, it would be maybe make a quick mold of the handle, strip the vinyl and foam, set the steel in the mold, fill the mold with expanding foam, pull it out of the mold and glue down some vinyl, OR ... source another one from someone’s part stash.

I would fill the cavity with an epoxy designed for plastic.

Something like this would work and can be bought at most home improvement stores.

Or head to an automotive repair store and look at some of the 3M bumper repair products.
