My 2015 GX had a hard start and rough idle on a road trip the other day. It threw a P006A code and then suddenly went away. After doing some research, I suspect it was a stuck EGR valve. I'm hoping to remove it and try cleaning it this weekend.

I've read this thread, and it seems possible to clean it: Long crank when warm - Issue after valley pan repair - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/long-crank-when-warm-issue-after-valley-pan-repair.1242967/page-6

Has anyone on here done that before? Any tips or recommendations?

If you do end up having to replace but definitely worth a try to clean first

Many thanks!

I removed the EGR valve this weekend and cleaned it. It was filthy. I highly recommend doing the same if you've never cleaned yours.

How many miles on it?

I'm at the same mileage, I see a new project for this weekend!

You don’t have to drain the entire radiator to do the removal. Drain about a half gallon and you’ll be set. Buy some carburetor / choke cleaner and spray it good. Let it soak. Clean the pipes leading to and from it as well. A small wire brush was helpful.
