I've been trying to remove the vent window assembly and/or my door glass in my Euro spec FJ40 which has a vent window in the door, I can only see one bolt holding the window channel in the bottom and thats it, I tried removing the glass but it seems I need to remove the vent window assembly first! .. I'm stuck now! .. can some one please help me describing how to remove either the glass or the vent window assembly? .. thanks..

in the US we didn't get these, I don't know what holds the top pivot in place.
on the older US doors,
remove the nut under the window shown in your pic. you need to remove the top hinge, on the old US doors there were 2 screws to remove, then tip the top of the window out and slide the bolt out of the lower door.

There is minuscule screw at the top under the weatherstripping. You also have to pretty much have everything out of the large window first. Tthere is also a bolt that holds the vent window channel in which is also the channel. You might be able to just pivot the Channel at the bottom toward the Hinge of the door. The screw at the top under the weatherstrip is the key.

Thanks a million guys! .. I missed that screw that was hidden under the weatherstripping, all good now, thanks again!

In case there’s anything else you’d like to know about your doors, @lostmarbles has the best thread on the topic I know of. Unfortunately the blue 40 was totalled… Tom was not.
