I was looking at Slee's site and have the following questions for those of you who run lifts.
How tall is your 80 with the following?

2.5 OME lift and (285's)33's?
5 inch lift and 35's?

At some point in the near feature there will be a 80 sitting in my garage and I want to purhase a lift that will still allow me to park in a secure garage.

You will find there are more variables to consider :

-Arb bumpers
-rear drawers
-spacers
-winches
-Rear seats in or out
-etc

IOW's weight will factor in . Guys will have to chime in with exactly what they're running and the height of they're rig . Otherwise you may not replicate the measurement you see here . In my case I have the OME light/Med , no jumpseats , no bumperage or winch and 35's and I JUST make into my secure parking . If I roll over 2.5 mph I knock off the insulation from the overhead I-beams

Sometimes guys will measure from the middle of the centrecap to the bottom lip of the centre part of the flare . This will ignore tire size but will provide the amount of lift they have obtained thru OME plus the impact of the bumpers etc etc . This info may be in the archives here if you try a search . Then factor in what tires you want ... and perhaps hold off until you can completely mimick a rig you really appreciate . IOW's save up some heavy $$ and do it all at once ...

Cheers ,

TY

I believe mine is about 78-9" with equipment listed in my sig and nothing else.

CORBS,

Would like to see your rig in person. I am in Newberg.

I have OME 850 (+ 1" spacer) in front and 863 springs in rear, ARB front bumper (no winch), and no rear bumper, and sliders (although had them off with no problems), I can fit no problem into a 7' garage, my driveway slopes down so backing in it's REALLY close with no weight in the Cruiser, since the front goes down and kicks the rearend up.

Kumar has the 'J' springs plus 1" front spacers and 37" Krawlers tires and he fit in my garage with about 3/4" to spare coming in from a different angle, he would not have fit if coming in from my same angle I don't think.

If you pulled the roof-rack off then you'd gain atleast an inch or two, atleast something to think about.

I have the OME 2.5 medium lift with an ARB roof rack and 33's. No bull bar :o , and not much weight. At the local public parking garages, i can barely fit in. I hit signs the entire way in and out.

Lifted 80

Like Phil said
Mine is also under 7' with the following gear:

6" Lift
315/75R16 MTRs
16x10 Rock Crawlers
Kaymar bumper w/ same wheel full spare on rack & spare can rack
No stock roof rack

To give you an idea of how much my Kaymar setup weighed down the rear of my rig it was sitting at 83.5" after just lifting it; lucky thing I still had 1/2" to clear the garage. Of course hadn't been driven around and suspension wasn't settled yet. Now it's sitting at 82". So much for wanting to run 37s. Hopefully you have the sectional type garage door and not the 1 piece kind. Hope this helps.

Beware that some trim on some 7 foot doors makes them less than 7 feet. I had 3/4" clearance at my old house from the factory roofrack. Js and 35" BFG MTs. I also had to adjust the door to go up just past the trim. When we built our new house we went with an 8 foot door.
