I am installing Dobinsons 2.5“ lift tomorrow along with SPC UCAs and 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers. Can someone take pics of how much and where they trimmed in front of and behind the tire on their GX460? Mine is a 2014 if that makes any difference. I heated the plastic and pushed it back as far as possible today in preparation for it but I’m sure its gonna require some plastic removal also. I am hoping the SPC UCAs cut down on the amount of trimming behind the tire and hopefully no BMC will be needed. Thanks guys
 
It depends on the width and offset of your wheels as well. I had to do the BMC for my setup, Ironman FCP's set to roughly 2.5" with TC UCA's and 17x8.5" wheels with a -10mm offset. The front is trimmed for the bumper and the rear is cut pretty aggressively. I'll snap some pics in the morning for you. I might have gone more aggressive than was necessary, but I think I am well set for 295's or 285/75's now even though the latter will still rub some according to those who have them.
 
I will be fitting my 285/70/17 KO2's this weekend. Installed an Ironman FCP lift with their upper control arms. I test fit them yesterday and am hitting the running board in the rear and front liner when wheel is turned left and right. I have sliders on order so hoping cutting the running boards will suffice in the rear of the wheel well and heating up and pushing forward the fender liner will work in the front. Wheels are 17X8.5 -10mm offset Looks like a pretty similar setup to Tex68w
 
Here is how I tackled it. I did a BMC and trimmed high enough up and inside so that I can clear the entire turning radius/travel arc even while compressed. Depending on your tire size and wheel width/offset, trimming this aggressively may not be necessary in regards to the inner fender liner, you can probably get away with reshaping it with a heat gun instead, maybe. The lower painted plastic side skirt/rocker piece will definitely have to be trimmed as that's the first thing the tire will contact when turning. I have to touchup/repaint/plastidip the inner area that is now exposed once every 4-6 months otherwise the white paint shows through.

When I first received my vehicle with the lift and tires, it was fine with no rubbing. Then after a while and hitting a couple of big bumps along with some deep articulation, I started to get rubbing. Since the liner was already trimmed a little, the front tires started to catch the inner liner and then bend/form it down a little so that even little bumps I was getting that "brrrrrp" sound of plastic rubbing on the tire.
So I just got out my heat gun and where it was bending down a little, just reshaped it back up and into the fender a little more than what was originally done.
Haven't had a rubbing issue since!
Those heat guns a great for the garage especially if you're doing electrical work and heat shrink tubing!
 
Heat guns and reshaping work well, but in that particular spot you can only push it in as far as that pinch seam will allow. I’d recommend most try reshaping before cutting as aggressively as I have, that said, there’s no real issue with cutting it away either.
 
Thank you sir for the pic. I got lucky and only had to heat and bend the plastic but I think the SPC control arms helped a lot with that. I left the caster at 4.6 and it’s not even close in the rear. It drives just like it did before and I am well pleased with the lift, wheels and tires.

Looks good! Make sure you try it stuffed with the wheel turned out. It's almost guaranteed to rub with travel, flat street driving is pretty easy to clearance.

Will do man. I figured it might when it’s in some hairy stuff. Now onto sliders if I can get the nerve to cut the factory steps. Lol
