Trying to calculate my FJ55s weight after some alterations so that I get the right specs on my Alcan springs. Does anyone know how much an F engine weighs? Planning to convert to a 6.0L Vortec and I need to know how much weight I'm going to lose. Thanks!

A LOT!!! I think a SBC weighs less than the 6 cyl by 100+ pounds.

Watch those 6.0 Vortec engines. They sometimes suffer from piston slap (GM notice to the dealers). Find a 350 and slap on some vortec heads.

I shipped one and it weighed 750lbs. I built a crate with a pallet and 4 sheets of plywood. So I would guess around 700lbs.
