“The Beast” My 83 CJ FI 4.0 from a Jeep TJ.

@87warrior .... “AEV made the Brute.”
—————————————————————————-
Yep I get that. I referred to it as a “Jeep Product” simply because it’s basically a converted Jeep. Didn’t mean to imply that it was converted by Jeep.
My Buddy's custom Brute before Gladiator was out. It is on 40s tons and Hemi @ the Con

I have owned a Jeep when I was single, But I had to sell it, so I can buy one that is more suitable family vehicle.

I THINK I may have mentioned this also before. Back in 1974 when I bought my brand new FJ40 and was living in Northern Vermont, the local guys were all Jeep guys and they laughed at the toyota and they busted my balls for almost a year. Then one day we went out on some of these old logging roads filled with 3 foot water holes 2 foot of mud and all kinds of crazy obstacles. Not only did the toyota keep up with them, but some of the other jeeps had broken down and I used the snatch strap to pull them out.

After that they were quite impressed within five years I noticed about four other land cruisers in town and it is extremely small town population of barely a few hundred. Most of them were cars, but everybody else had jeeps because the winter time there was no way without four-wheel-drive. Eventually cars like the Subaru outback made big headway because of their four-wheel-drive capacity. But after living down all that redneck heckling, my Land Cruiser is the way I go all the time

I'm new to this forum but am glad to show my latest Jeep. I have several and they cover several manufacturers from various years. Willys, AMC, Chrysler, Fiat.. I can't say I hate any one of them. Just glad to be able to work and modify each one the way I like. I'm lucky that way. My dad was a GM mechanic and taught me the joy of turning wrenches and working on vehicles. Jeeps satisfy my urges to do just that. I'm not sure a Toyota would give me that satisfaction. Lol

clean looking TJ

I love my Hundo and my TJ. The LC is my DD. TJ lives in the garage with the top off from April to October and gets driven most dry days and for trail riding. Both are 4x4s, but very different rides. In reality, most of the trailriding I do in the Jeep could be done in the LC, but the Jeep is smaller, better protected (full armor/skids), more capable (35s, lower gears, front and rear lockers) and much easier/cheaper to fix if I bash something up. Don't plan on getting rid of either anytime soon, though hopefully the 4.0 in the TJ will be replaced by a 6.0 LS/LQ motor next summer.
