I'm just curious how long I will have to wait to find a low mileage (75-100k) 2006-2007 in grey. How long did you look?

Depending on your state, higher an auto broker and let them make it happen. You should be able to find one with those miles, they are out there.

I'm in California. Never used an auto broker. I just have alerts setup on Craigslist for now. I'm about to sell another vehicle so I'll probably start really searching once that car is gone.

6+ months. I wanted one with relatively low mileage, one non-lease owner, and not driven off road. Not to mention a good trail of dealer maintenance records and no accidents.

I just got lucky.
Posted my 88 fj62 on craigslist for $7500 and somebody emailed me wanting to trade title for title. No cash in transaction.

Hmmmm. I love mine, but I commute 80 miles a day and struggle with the practicality. 2004 with 95K miles. Family owned since new. SoCal rust free, SUPER clean, bone stock, never been in the dirt. Black Garnet with tan leather. PM me if you're interested.

That's what I'd like as well. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome. I'll add that I found it in Bend, OR, about 300 miles away. Talked to the owner twice and the local dealer, following a pre-purchase inspection, once. Flew up with cash and drove back.

Being patient was worth it and I lurked here for quite a while while searching for the right LX.

It took me two months to find my 06 AZ truck with 42K miles. Color was not my first choice but could not pass up a like new truck. Not easy to find. I looked at a lot of junk in those two months.

If money's no object and you're willing to buy long distance, you can probably find one in less than a month. If you want to stay local, could be more than a year. Took me more than a year passively looking on and off. Here's one in Salt Lake:

Seems like there were less LX's in the later years and a lot less in 2007. I have bought a 98 & 99. The first one found me, I wasn't looking for one but the price and timing were right. The second one took about a month and it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but pretty close. (Both local)

Only about three weeks of intensive searching, and got exactly what I wanted!

I think there were about 3000 for 2006 and about the same for 2007. A lot more in the earlier years.

Took me 9 months, Thundercloud with no AHC, 63k miles, 1 owner.

Took me about 4 months.

Was specifically looking for an 06 or 07 LC, no AHC, no rear DVD, no wood trim and under 100k. I was about to hire a broker but found a one owner car that was traded in at a gmc dealer in Wichita KS. Flew out and drove 800+ miles back home. Not sure black would've been my first choice but I'm really happy with it now that I have it home.

Good luck

6 months. '98 with 78k miles. Grey/Grey super clean.

That strikes me as no prize.

Look at the brake dust on the wheels. Too much effort to even wash it?

From Illinois; a rust belt state.

CarfFax shows no accident history, but look at the tailgate and liftgate. That won't be cheap to fix properly.

Scuff on rear bumber.

Tires look well worn.

What's with the multi colored carpet?

One key?

Dealer says "one owner CarFax history but if you read through it the vehicle was sold new in 11/06, sold at auction 4/10 (to a dealer and re-sold a month later). Then it looks like it was sold again three months later.

It's been serviced regularly at both Toyota Bountiful and Mark Miller Toyota. If it was a truly nice vehicle wouldn't the dealership that has been servicing it feel confident in offering it for sale as opposed to selling it "as-is", and $27.894 is a "rock-bottom price"?

I'd call it rough condition and the NADA trade-in value is $17,550. Even clean retail is less than $25K.

IMHO this is one to run from.
